
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Demand Analyst based in Pudsey.
The purpose of the Demand Analyst role is to support and maintain the development of robust forecasting models utilising appropriate statistical methodology, tools and datasets, in order to accurately forecast workload across the capacity planned functions within the business.
Responsibilities
To develop and support demand planning models based on the latest statistical data and business intelligence, and to ensure that they are useable, robust and fit for purpose.
To maintain the demand forecasting models within an agreed framework.
To be able to apply statistical methodologies to the demand planning models to generate insight into the behaviour of operational metrics and to provide meaningful interpretation (in non technical terms) to key customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
To deliver forecasts to agreed production timetables.
To be able to manipulate data to resolve routine queries from stakeholders.
To undertake sensitivity analysis as required, and articulate the results of such analysis to key stakeholders.
Be able to articulate the impact of demand fluctuation on operational service levels and resourcing constraints.
To ensure that development of models meets current and future business requirements and to provide best practice controls, in particular the application of different predictive datasets to the demand planning models.
Requirements
Experience in using and manipulating large amounts of data to generate quantitative analysis is essential, preferably in a planning environment.
Previous coding experience is essential, preferably using statistical tools such as SAS/SPSS/Excel VBA.
Technical Degree in statistics/mathematics or demonstrable experience in modelling/analytics roles.
Good communication skills.
