
Database Architect/Developer/Administrator (SQLServer, SSIS, SSAS) in the Research, Technology and Development area of integrated vehicle health management (IVHM).
Responsibilities
*Data-modelling and architecting
*Relational and warehouse database design to support advanced in-house analytics.
*Embedding within a team of analytical and math modelling specialists to achieve decision support for aerospace health monitoring applications within a global organisation
*Building large databases (>1TB) and writing ETL scripts for importing data
*Support data-mining activities (e.g. cube building and application of in-house analytic tools)
Requirements
*Commercial experience of designing large databases (>1TB)
*Strong relational and warehouse database experience
*Extensive commercial experience of SQLServer 2005/2008/2008R2
*Business Intelligence Tools (SSIS,SSAS)
*Thorough understanding of normal forms
*Proficient T-SQL
*Proficient MDX
*Data analysis and liaising with stakeholders
*Big data strategies (E.g. Indexing, partitioning, concurrency)
*Entity relationship modelling
*Profiling database performance

*Software experience, including .NET
*Exposure to Microsoft data mining tools
*Awareness of artificial intelligence and math modelling techniques
*Knowledge of SSRS (Report writing)
