My clients is a technology innovator and an international leader in delivering products and services accross various media including telecom, mobile and e-business software.
They are now looking for CIO to come in and help shape the business as it moves forward and continues to grow.
SUMMARY
Responsible for technical support of one of its leading products. Amongst its responsibilities will be to gain an in-depth understanding of the technology and information infrastructure. Understand, analyse, and support feedback to technical requests regarding the technology. Direct and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules for the technology, including and not limited to computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. Additionally, the CIO:
·Provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems.
·Facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organisation.
·Responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, imaging, and office automation.
·Designs, implements, and evaluates the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
·Develops and implements user-training programs.
·Oversees and evaluates system security and back up procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning:
·Indentify, update and implement technology strategy as per global strategy
·Manage IT across the enterprise
·Align technology objectives and programs to enterprise objectives
Control:
·Align the IT team with enterprise performance objectives
·Control performance objectives and overall IT budget
·Direct the information and data integrity of the company.
Service:
·Acquire software/hardware
·Select, manage and control IT providers
Manage outsourced services
Risk Management:
·Align IT risk management within IT productivity objectives
Business Process:
·Optimize and design enterprise processes via IT
·Follow IT system development methodology
·Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
·Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.
Strategic IT Initiatives :
·Plan and manage strategic initiatives and projects
·Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
Enterprise Infrastructure:
·Define standards and architectures
Interact with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
·Five to six years of experience in a Software analysis position within organizations with partnerdistribution networks.
·Knowledge of information technology, computer systems and software and programming and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations. Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a large division/company.
·Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
·Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
·Knowledge of Systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation and operational management
·Familiarity with operating systems such as Microsoft, Java, .Net (C-Sharp, Vb.net) and Databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
SOFT SKILLS
·Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
·Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
