To produce and maintain layout drawings, artworks, specification drawings and manufacturing drawings suitable for a variety of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
*Production of layout designs from a combination of internally generated specifications and Customer supplied information in accordance with published design guidelines and suitable for established manufacturing processes.
*Modification and maintenance of existing layout designs in response to Process Engineering, Quality and Customer requirements and in support of component and material obsolescence.
*Production of component and piece part procurement drawings.
*Production of engineering drawings suitable for internal and external manufacture of jigs and tools.
*Production of a range of manufacturing drawings suitable for individual stages of product assembly.
*Perform as a member of various Engineering teams in support of new products within Samples manufacturing and Development projects.
*Assist Design Group Manager in the maintenance, upgrade and day to day running of the CAD system.
Requirements:
*Having a recognised Engineering qualification in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering at Degree/HNC/BTEC/Diploma or equivalent level or with demonstrable equivalent experience
*A methodical approach with attention to detail is essential in this role.
Desired Requirements:
*Working knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout design, microelectronic assembly design and mechanical design using AutoCad and 3D Inventor.
*A good team player who demonstrates enthusiasm and motivation to meet tight deadlines.
*Knowledge of using design CAD tools and demonstrated experience in use
*Ability to understand and implement design lay-outs for overall assemblies and applying drawing standards
*Ability to work in a global environment
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
*Good knowledge of engineering materials, such as those used in microelectronic assembly and packaging.
