Our client requires 2 C++ engineers based in Hook.
The ability to conduct code reviews and inspections and provide constructive comments will be expected. A proven ability in problem determination will also need to be demonstrated with an understanding of debugging and fault finding essential.
Working knowledge of the Linux OS is essential with ideally knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution.
Knowledge of development in C/C++ on Linux is essential with experience on a Microsoft Windows platform being desirable as future direction will lead to increased cross-platform support.
Essential Skills:
o C and C++ with a sound understanding of OOD Design (UML)
o UNIX / Linux
o Excellent Documentation Skills
o Good Communication / Meeting Skills
o Analytical and fault finding experience
o Experience using configuration management and source control systems such as CVS, Clearcase, Subversion, etc
o Build tool chain experience (make/ANT)
o Unit test specification (GoogleTest/nUnit/cUnit/cppUnit)
o System level design and development experience
o X/Motif Experience
SC clearance is required for this role, however candidates willing to run through the checks may also be considered.
