A Business / SQL Support Analyst is required for an initial 9 month contract based in London, for a large financial services client.
Our clients are looking for an experienced BA to work in their Front Office. The primary task will be to administer functional aspects of the inhouse IQ/QDB system, working closely with the Investment solutions fund managers. The candidate will be required to be part of an early morning rota as critical reports need to be delivered to the business for the start of business day.
Essentials:
·At least 5-10 years experience as a Business Analyst gained within the Investment Banking & Asset Management industry working with systems
·Ability to fully understand systems, processes and data used within environments. Experience with data feeds is essential.
·Strong SQL skills (with SQL Server 2000 desirable) and Excel with proficiency in the use of Visio and Microsoft Project
·Knowledge of both Equities and Fixed Income investment & trading processes is desirable
·Knowledge and experience of all asset classes, including Derivatives (i.e. Futures, options, swaps).
·Strong analytical, problem-solving and inventing skills. With full BA life cycle experience specifically analysing business and system requirements
·Confidence in communicating with senior investment management staff globally.
·Management status reporting (business and IT)
