Those engaged in enterprise resource planning (ERP) or on
SAP contract jobs might be interested to hear that Vinay Iyer, vice-president of CRM global marketing at SAP recently revealed the four pillars he believes make its enterprise resource planning software a world leader.
Vinay named these pillars as:
- Trust
- Responsiveness
- Relevance
- Convenience
Explaining further, he noted that trust and reliability are vitally important to helping users achieve their ambitions and meet expectations. Responsiveness ensures information is provided instantaneously, but that if relevant information is not being supplied then this speed is useless.
The fourth and final pillar is convenience, because businesses demand systems and technology that are both easy to use and benefit from.
Of course, anyone in management or in more general
IT contract jobs would probably agree, as these four pillars are central to just about any business, whether software or otherwise. However, it's always beneficial to remind people of the basic wisdom and aims of a business.
